Up at 3:30am, on the Super Shuttle at 4:30 and HOPEFULLY in the air at 6:45. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that Clarice and I both get on our flights. She leaves from Tucson and I take off from Phoenix. We meet up in Atlanta and then start hoping again for a seat on the next flight to Munich. Then it's on to Sarajevo where we meet up with Karen and then the real fun begins - three sisters together for two weeks.
Saving money flying stand-by on a Delta employee discount ticket is very nerve-racking. I guess it just adds to the excitement of travel.
The plan is to keep this journal updated during our two-week trip, so we'll give you an update again in a couple of days - if the stars align just right that will be from Sarajevo!!
